Mark your Calendars for June 14th to Celebrate with LPFI

Greetings LPFI supporters! I am excited to reconnect with you and to officially announce the kick-off of the 10th Anniversary of SMASH!

There has never been a better time to get involved with (or recommit to) LPFI and I have 3 fantastic and rewarding ways in which you can help us celebrate this milestone while simultaneously furthering LPFI’s mission to eliminate the barriers faced by underrepresented people of color in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

1. Save the Date: Saturday, June 14th 2014. LPFI is planning an event like no other we’ve ever had and I guarantee you’ll want to be there. More to come in the next few weeks but I will say this, “Dust off those dancing shoes.”

2. Join our 10th Anniversary Host Committee. To celebrate 10 years of our SMASH program, we have lots of exciting events in the coming months (all of which will be more successful with your help). Joining our host committee means that you want to volunteer your time and talent to help LPFI with event planning, marketing and strategy.  Email our Associate Director of Development, to join today: bianca@lpfi.org

3. Help us spread the word! Ask your friends to get engaged with LPFI this year by sending them the following message today:

Dear Friends,

As you may be aware, I’m involved with a great nonprofit that is celebrating a significant milestone this year. The Level Playing Field Institute is an organization committed to eliminating the barriers faced by underrepresented people of color in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and fostering their untapped talent for the advancement of our nation. One of the ways in which they do this is their incredible SMASH program which is turning 10 this year. If you have 3 minutes, I’d strongly encourage you to watch the following video on SMASH:http://bit.ly/RPH6MJ there are some pretty inspiring students in there.

I’m currently helping LPFI expand their reach and I’d love for you to be in the loop with the amazing stuff they’re doing this year to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of SMASH. Please sign up for their newsletter and events list here: http://bit.ly/1fKm4Ev

Thank you for your support!

We’ve got so much planned and we want YOU (and your network!) to be a part of it. I look forward to seeing all of you over the course of the next few months.

Sincerely,

Jarvis Sulcer

Executive Director
